The Quiet Of Your Tongue

"Hey God...it's me...open up!"

Knocking frantically on the door

"Hey God! It's me...open up.

Can ya hear me? Whatsup?

Waiting impatiently for an answer...then

"Okay God, then be that way.

I did wanna hear from you BEFORE

my hairs turned gray."

Then suddenly he felt like shutting up.

He strangely began to calm down, like the

Sudden cease of a hard blowing wind.

This is when God came in...

In the stillness of his wind.

"Seek my face!", God said.

"Hunger for my presence,

until your soul is fed."

Then God spoke in poetry...

"I have waited for you many a night.

I wanted your spirit to take flight with me,

But all you wanted was a fight.

Pour out your soul before me and then...

Be quiet.

This is a powerful concept.

You should at least be willing to try it.

Mourn no longer, because of oppression.

Let my heart sing a song to you in your

Darkest session.

Let my waves of peace billow

Over your soul,

Until you come into the realization,

That my presence will unfold.

Possess a spirit of quietness.

All that I am, is found in this.

If you must have your battles won,

You will find your victory in

The quiet of your tongue."
