Quiet
Room
Lying
in a quiet room, the silence begins to take over.
Bells ringing in your ears like crickets in the night.
You close your eyes and your mind begins to wander,
visualizing past memories or the times you hope will come.
The memories good or bad will stay with you, unchangeable,
locked away until the next time you wish to remember.
This is fine as long as you do not dwell on the memories and you look ahead
to the times you hope will come.
As you lie there,
eyes closed in a quiet room you see these thoughts clear as day,
knowing that there has got to be a way to arrive upon these hopes someday.
All of sudden your mind goes blank erasing all visions,
only concentrating on the ringing in your ears.
You open your eyes and turn on the Tv,
You are no longer lying in a quiet room.
