Exquisite Euphoria
This hush of pure love
it defies description
perceptions running amok
in a frenzy of heartbeats
the only sound filling
up the silences - a palpable feeling
just a touch achingly felt
a Love tender caring, a wish
to somehow keep from hurt
yes these emotions are mesmeric
feelings shivering over
finding chords yet unknown
yes I feel enveloped
reaching into a world
where nothing else exists
till the outside intervenes
inane comments random interventions
in relief to this pitch
of an intensity so deep
even a few moments are painfully felt
why does it linger on
how can I feel it on my skin
in every pore
this elusive yet pervasive
enchantment of being touched
by something so special
suffusing my whole being
which wants to laugh and cry
at the same time
what is this merging
that breathes within me
an elation so pure
it gets impossible to live with
bit by bit I feel it's depth
bringing pain and joy
in endearing little gestures
pulsating moments
eternally drench my heart
with dewdrops of heady intoxication
soaking me in perpetual freshness
these tiny miracles flowering within me
myriad windows to my soul
welcoming exulting
