Transcriptionist's Revenge

Do you know how a doctor speaks of love?
You may be sure he'll mispronounce your name,
Describe his heart, and all the parts thereof
In terms not likely to your soul inflame.
I fear, my dear, he will abbreviate.
He'll praise your EOM's and BMI.
On what he says you'll have to concentrate
To know he loves your figure and your eyes.
He'll spell out simple words like "Y-O-U".
He'll mumble "palpitations" in your ear,
And should you feel quite ill before he's through
He'll keep a nice anti-emetic near.
But though a true romantic he is not,
You can't blame him for giving it a shot!
