Swanage, My Dear Swanage

Swanage,
my dear Swanage
You
are heaven in my eyes,
A
lovely part of Dorset
That
to me is paradise,
*
Hewn
from Purbeck stone,
Quarries,
right and left,
Nature's wildest flowers
Bloom
in every cleft,
*
Boats
there on the slipway
And
bobbing on the sea,
Seagulls
circling overhead
Screaming
cries of glee,
*
This
bay of perfect beauty
Of
heavenly delight,
A
paradise on earth,
A
truly wondrous sight.
*
To me it's at it's best
To
see the sun rise over the sea
The
mists curling over the water,
A
special time for me.
*
The
colours burst into life
From
green to deepest blue,
The
colours of the rainbow
Are
here in every hue.
*
At
the closing of my days
When
with this life I part,
Let my heaven be in Swanage,
~Sidda~
