Regret
A
man lost in his chemical dependency.
Needing a way to drown his sorrows because he's stuck in a life of trying to
uphold a reputation.
He says he's earned it, he's in control, that he can do what he wants.
Never taking a minute to realize that he's not only hurting himself but his
loved ones as well.
When the thought arises he brushes it away with another excuse.
What do they care its my life he says.
Failing to understand that he is a part of their lives and that his actions
affect them,
he keeps drinking.
Always wanting to be the crazy one, the partier, the guy who could care less.
Until the last day of his life when he has one final thought before he dies,
"I can't believe I acted that way, I'm sorry."
To late, there's no time for forgiveness, your dead
