Reality

As real as snowplow sounds upon the street,
As rain on roof, or song of spring-swift streams,
So surely heard, your soft voice does entreat
Me into an enchanted world of dreams.
As palpable as breeze upon my face,
Or fragrant blossom on the summer air,
Yes, even more, I feel your warm embrace
Encompassing my being everywhere.
As clearly as I see the sky above
And note the ordered placement of each star,
I gaze into your dark eyes, soft with love,
Unhindered by how far away you are.
Though distant still, you are more real to me
Than what my senses deem reality.
