NOT A GOOD BYE
Dark cloud canopies over our hope castle

Our future horizon closing in like a raging fire.

Pearl drop shaping at the edge of your eyelids

Ready to roll down your trembling cheeks.

Your nervous lips stuttered, yet cried aloud clear

So clear that it shook my heart, with my spirits.

Refused to leave with me to the distant land

I dragged my heavy feet and a weakened soul.

A good bye, that never let me leave

Why can’t we belong to each other?

All the time ahead, just ours to treasure

A good bye that was never meant to be.
