Leather And Lace

Welcome, to the labyrinth,
A dark, impenetrable space,
Walk with me a little while,
I am, leather touched with lace.
No promises of diamonds,
Just shards of broken glass,
Tinted with emotions,
You may come to pass.
The present, a sound of laughter,
The past, a distant moan,
Look beneath the shadows,
You'll see we're all alone.
I walk with you forever,
Your future, and your past,
You may seem to forget,
But it will always last.
Who am I you may ask,
My answer is not your need,
The question is your answer,
See where life will lead.
The beginning has begun,
I become your end,
The finish of this breathless race,
Is at a rivers bend.
The voices in my mindscape,
No hidden secrets tell,
No truths, no lies, no sound at all,
Just goes straight to hell.
Its road is paved with golden bricks,
Shadows with coppers gleam
The devils lair plays cruel tricks,
Through open eyes the scream.
Take a stroll through this maze,
A wounding, cutting ledge,
See the outlines of your steps,
On the razors edge.
