I Can't Stay Mad At Cha Baby!

It was one of those days
When I had not had much rest.
The burden of the day’s journey
Had bought too much stress.

Then you said one off word,
And I became unnerved.
You're my husband and
My best friend.
Why were you acting as if
You didn’t understand?

Determined to let the sun
Go down on my anger,
I shouted, "Don’t you even touch me
With your stinking finger!"

Then your eyes begin to caress my soul.
I slowly but surely, became undone.
The angels in heaven rejoiced in song,
Because reconciliation had just begun.

At the moment of my weakness,
You touched me with your sweetness.
I can't stay mad at cha baby!

My anger was purged away when
Your love touched my lips.
I tried not to show it, but
My heart was turning flips.

Your warm lips began teasing my ear.
Whispered words I began to hear.
I knew I was undone
When you said, "I’m sorry hon."

As I partook of your honey and milk,
The warmth of your lips,
The sweetness of your tongue,
I knew then that anger had lost
And the power of love had won.

I can’t stay mad at cha baby!
