I Plead 'Not Guilty'

Ever since I was very young
It has always been the same
Everyone thinks what they see in me
Are faults for which I am to blame

I want to bring the facts to light
Before I receive more flak
I am innocent and it is all due
To the planets and the zodiac

Malefic Saturn's cold menace
Is what makes me seethe in silence
The angry bolts of aggressive Mars
Make me erupt with rage and violence

The Moon makes me irrational
And causes my mood swings each day
Mercury forces me to change my mind
Countless times, in many ways

I'm not self indulgent or extravagant
That is Jupiter at square
And when Saturn is in opposition
That's when you really should beware

Today - Venus may make me coo to you
Tomorrow Neptune may make me stray
And Pluto, though it was discovered late
Also meddles with my behaviour and fate

I'm not uncooperative and difficult
Irresolute, obstinate or hostile
Uranus is the reason why
I seem eccentric, fickle or volatile

It is obvious that I am not at fault
These forces are too strong to tame
So whatever I do and however I am
Don't point to me and lay the blame

But if you see my positive traits
Or have complimentary things to say
The credit rightly belongs to me
So come on in, right this way
