For a thirsty slow day

Water’s mirage in a velvet bay

Bright in the far light

The summons of a veil

The eyes that flower on a face

The winds that whisper their tales

Of love on this earth ridden bed

Garlanded by the tall nymphs of the wood

A red melting sun

Like a childhood dream

Lost in some tangled trumpet of time

The early morning’s greetings

Scattered by the cloud’s choir

With lights thronging

To the night descended skies

In the ringing of a brass bell

To gather in blue circles

  Around the golden halo

 Of the new born messiah in the sky

While the moon with sleepy smile

Slung over her lightened shoulders

Bids farewell to the prince installed

In the kingdom of her youth. .......(contd.)
