HEAVEN IN MY HANDS

I am here, where you left me,
In the middle of nowhere, alone,
Do you think about me sometimes?
Or is even the memory gone.

Standing on the cross roads,
Don’t know where life will lead,
Waiting for you to come by,
And help me find my feet.

Even if you don’t arrive,
Or forget my name,
I’ll think about the past,
Our five seconds of fame.

I have no fear of losing you,
There is no room for fright,
My entire being is filled with you,
You’re never out of sight.

True, I miss you sorely,
True, I miss your touch,
But if that is what you want of me,
I’ll give you even that much.

You may go far away,
Never speak to me again,
I will not cry or pine for you,
I’ll live through all my pain.

I will not ask you to budge,
Or move from what you decide,
All I ask of you to give away,
Is a little bit of your pride?

Do you ache just as much?
As I hurt for you just now,
But we will not admit to us,
Our heads we’ll never bow.

If this is strength, if this is truth,
If you ever come looking again,
I’ll still be here where you left me,
Holding five seconds of fame.
