Darkness at Midnight

In the darkness of the midnight, when all the earth seems still,
And I’m still awake, thinking of the love in my Saviors’ will,
The way He wants to protect us from evil, its so very nice,
To know He loves us so much, makes me want to heed His advice,

After I think and talk with Him awhile, the darkness seems to fade away,
Seems the stars are shining brightly, going to be a lovely day.
If we walk in His footsteps, stay closely in His word
He will tell us the sweetest story, which men have ever heard.

In the twinkling of the twilight, when its very close to dawn,
Listening to the singing of the birds, watching little puppies yawn.
Seems we'd want to know our Master, how He died for our sin,
Happy in Jesus, knowing we'll never have to be in darkness again.

Last night the moon was full to bursting, looking down on me,
I just thought “old moon” one-day look up, cause its with my Savior I’ll be,
Resting in His kingdom, filled with His Holy Spirit galore,
And though I love seeing you up there, you can't look down on me
anymore.

That's my Saviors’ promise, all Heavenly light will come from Him,
Should I look down on thee old moon, you’d look mighty dim,
So I believe I’ll just hang out with Jesus, go with Him all the way,
So there will be no more mid-night darkness, but brightness every day.
