Before I Die

Once, just once, before I die
I want to be more than just a guy
More than someone who also ran
I sincerely wish to be a man.
I long to give more than I've taken
And return the love I have forsaken.
The way to succeed in this want to be
I controlled by no one else but me.
If I have the will then I have the power
To give myself my finest hour.
