This Woman This Sea
Reflecting
the dark clouds
the sunsets and sunrise
All the shades of the rainbow
each shimmering reflection
With no color of her own
she takes on every hue
And still she retains
Her own character
Her own recognition
To yet reflect again
To yet embrace every hue
This woman this sea
She'll take whatever shape
you give her
Might take all the pain
The joy the suffering
Cutting through her we sail
and see the foam as if in protest
But again she is calm
She still stands strong
She still keeps her own
Till things get out of hand
She never gets destructive
This woman this sea
The waves hitting the rocks
incessantly
She never gives up her struggle
Washing onto the shore
She might take something
But it's less than what she gives
So full of love
This woman this sea
Such depth
Holding so much within
Experiencing all the pains
and joys of others
with no less feeling
yet remaining pure, unchanged..
embracing all..
she takes pleasure in giving
losing herself
and we tend to forget
though she reflects us
mirrors each and every nuance
She never loses her own
this woman this sea
We get misled
into negating
her into ourselves
Stamping our own names
When all along she is the one
taking us in
never letting us realize..
Yes she is yours
And makes you forget
She will always remain herself
This woman this sea...
