Quest And Consequence

With open eyes and in full aware,
When we ask, and are willing to share,
We search for expected consequences,
We leave some tears, with ugly traces,

Between our spirit, and a stranger soul,
We set a fire, feed the heart as coal,
Hunting the whales, with fishing pole,
Hoping to reel, a cherished foal,

Some days we win, some nights we lose,
Knowing the outcome, yet we choose,
To entertain, or to amuse,
Be assenting, or take refuse,
But Forfeit the right, to bewail of bruise,

We light the candles of scented feign,
To change a stranger to a swain,
We let our emotions have the reign,
Although the thought perhaps insane,
At times elation, at times a pain,
And when the feeling is in disdain,
We find the passion spent in vain.

When we start the ritornello,
From ending we cannot refrain,
When on flight of destination,
From landing we cannot abstain,
When captive in our isolation,
We break away the chain,
On journey to end the solitude,
We are a passenger on the train.
