MOONLIGHT SONATA
Moonlight sonata;
that's you.
Dimmed, low, White.
And I am frantic
searching so
for one chord.
Will the moon ever love the sea?
Even though she makes the sea
ever more pretty
ever more frantic.
Lay down your rays,
lend some silver,
the night has a banquet
and a starry ball.
The waves are tormented
in a high dance
and waters pale
with beauty and love
at your sight.
Mermaids play
with anxious fervour,
a million pianos
and the cosmic time.
The sea bellows
with raging drunkenness'
and how far away
rest in maddening propriety.
The music is yours,
the moon's.
Dimmed, low, white.
And the sea is frantic
searching so
for one chord.
