The smile on your face
The words on your lips
The look in your hypnotic eye
Made me run to you
With my heart in my hand
Without stopping to reason why

The touch of your hand
The warmth of your breath
Just your presence near by
Sped the beat of my heart
And the throb of my pulse
My calm veneer was just a lie

You are long gone
But I cannot forget
However much I try
All I can do
All day long
Is hope and yearn and sigh

Its hard to bear
