LYING HEART
Sting less fires smokeless flames
Burning up your loveless games
You scream you shout cry out in pain
It burns; it hurts you cry in vain
Red gold embers from smoldering eyes
A Goddess’s stare sears through your lies
Broken dreams and broken heart
That’s the gift when the game you start.
Flaming knife of glittering steel
Entering flesh its pleasure feel
Pure and pale she lies below
Drops of red pooling on her brow
Crimson streams run down her cheek
Her lips parting to hear them speak
As they fall to hit the ground
An avenger born, a warrior found
Her eyes are cold her stony smile
Her face is silent her form mobile
The goddess sees her daughter bleed
Arms raised high she seeks the deed
She walks among us still unseen
Passing shadows entering dreams
In her eyes the flame concealed
Flowing white heat of molten steel
He runs, he flees, he tries to hide
The game is over the gods decide
Time draws close the hour is near
Each minute encased in crystal clear
Shattering glass its shards so sharp
Piercing through his lying heart
The heart is still it lies no more
Innocence avenged so says the lore
