Life Goes On...
I wipe my tears clean, without a trace
Trying to forget memories of a painful phase
When a door was slammed shut in my face
And I felt I had lost life's entire race...
That door was shut and sealed to me
But that phase of life is done
The world beckons through another door
Through which streams in the sun
What seemed to be the end of the road
I try to see as a chapter done
Which added to my experience
Not a battle lost or won
The garden is in bloom outside
Birds are chirping still
Life has lots to offer
For those who strive with hope and will
But...
I cant help revisiting the shuttered door
While I try to go on with my life
Feeling each time the scorn of your words
Those merciless slashes of the knife...
Yet
again
I wipe my tears clean, without a trace
Trying to forget memories of a painful phase
When that door was slammed shut in my face
And I felt I had lost life's entire race
One
day
My tears will disappear without a trace
Taking away memories of that painful phase
When a door was slammed shut in my face
And I felt I had lost life's entire race ...
