JUST A GIRL

I am the spider of many hands

my mind full of macabre plans

I am privy to all you hold dear

the one least likely to cause fear.

You see life through guileless eyes

fresh as snow, ignorant of lies

a dozen youthful year's old

fearless your step, your laughter bold.

I am the hunter seeking my prey

who will stalk you night and day

one day I will have you alone

helpless in my silken zone.

You will be a child no more

mutilated within, no outward sore

too terrified to scream

a nightmare your every dream.

Shunned and lonely you will be

my web the only comfort you see

who will listen to your call

you're just a girl after all.

I am the spider of many hands

my mind full of macabre plans

I can search again far and near

whom have I to fear.
