In My Heart

Your words shoot into latch-key soul,

penetrating lacquered heart,

growing flowers of discontentment,

even the white rose blushes in truth's light,

helpless in mind-gripping lottery,

drunk on tidal wave,

of emotions born to your specifications,

suffocating laughter of comic relief,

drowning in soul-shaking anguish,

joyous tears of cherished memories,

breathless rhapsody of a lover's passion.

I read your words, as if written just for me,

you play my heart with your eloquent verse,

like a musician makes a mere instrument to sing,

in a Grand Concerto from your soul,

in visions that dance through my mind,

in Moonlight Serenade,

we are one.

Longing to tell you what's in my heart,

mere words can not convey,

what is clear in shooting star's solitude,

would that my words could,

bathe you in caresses,

warm your heart in blanket of kisses,

soothe your spirit in comfort's embrace,

dance the waltz of passion with your soul,

to show you my love.
