The
Impossible Dream
Online
romance.. so real that
Only
a few know its spell.
Caught
unaware by its magic
That
gradually seems to compel.
Your
every waking thought.
Somewhere
out there in space
Your
hearts become as one, though
You’ve
never seen his face.
At
times when silence prevails,
In
your mind the fears arise,
That
perhaps he’s found another,
That
all has been but lies.
The
helplessness you now feel
Overwhelms
your very soul,
And
melancholia appears, o’er
Which
you have no control.
Is
he hurt, perhaps ill or away?
Not
realizing your concern?
If
in online affairs we indulge,
Forbearance
then, we must learn.
Many
don’t understand why
We
give of ourselves this way.
Falling
in love is not planned,
It
just happens along the way.
The
fear remains, if one day
He
decides to say goodbye,
Then
there’s a price to pay
And
it’s found extremely high.
There
are no guarantees for those
Who,
in their imagination, scheme
Of
one day being together, for it
May
just be an impossible dream.
