I gave you everything That a man could need I kept giving and giving Till my heart couldn’t bleed.
Yet you couldn’t see That I had bled You remained blind To the tears I shed.
Now I have nothing left- Neither my mind nor me, So please let me go In solitude let me be.
My tear-stained eyes With dreams I didn’t dare Will stare into oblivion Yet you won’t care.
So let me go please Free me from your chain That you tied me with Now lie in my brain.
I pace sideways Like a bird in a cage My wings now broken Before your rage.
I can’t sing for you, All those words seem dead Yet all your curses Parade around my head.
Were I just the worm And not the bird you seek And find myself taken By the bird in its beak.
Life would be shorter Fate playing its part At least I would bleed From my crushed tiny heart. ~Siddharth Sanyal~
