Heavenly  Puzzle

I looked up at the sky
dark yet alight

Eyes dancing
full of joy

The stars winked in return
teasing twinkling

Joining hands
in this game of relay

With the clouds
passing messages
back and forth
animated alive

And I waved
full of awe
finding myself
a wondrous part of it

Joining in this celestial game

Beseeching almost
entreating cajoling
these helpful allies

Laughing helplessly
at their suppressed air
of excitement

As if holding a secret

When I saw the moon
trying in vain
to light up my eyes
with it's dazzling aside

As I heard it whisper
the sound of your silent flight

But the clouds
would have none of it

I could almost feel their mirth
wrapped in empathic playfulness

With a twinkle here
a cloud racing past there

The moon irrepressible covered hurriedly

Endearing little clues
in this heavenly puzzle

As affectionately they weaved
this message
of your coming home

The night sky
joining hands with me
in this divine wish
that says

 'Welcome Home'....
