Heads or Tails
Life's joys and
sorrows, like heads & tails
Of a coin tossed in the air,
Come in equal measure
To make everyone's lot fair
We cant just take the head or the tail
There is no coin with just one side
When troubles come a calling
There is no place for anyone to hide
My world seemed charmed & different
It was all fun, games and laughter
Each day you brought more joy
And even more came the day after
When we were together & happy,
Before you were forced to go
My coin had just one side
It came heads at every throw
I cant remember a sad moment
During those magical days of bliss
Gods were really smiling at me
Never was anything ever amiss
Now my coin throws tails alone
For you are no longer by my side
The head has disappeared from my coin
With the quick change of fate's tide
Happiness never visits me now
But I guess it is only fair,
For you gave me more than my rightful share
With your deep love, so pure and rare
