Foot Prints

Do I know you?
Have we walked
Together before?
Hand in hand ?
It seems so.
On the beach
On the white sand
Pristine,
And sun washed.

Your foot prints
Imprinted in my mind
Like moon light reflected
In a rippling brook,
Like a wave of
Cascading chords
From a harp,
Hanging in the air.

Does your mind too
Hold my foot prints?
Perhaps, invisible
In the twilight zone
Of neither water nor sand.
Every wave of birth
Obscuring and erasing
The memory,
Now a haze.

Does your subconscious
Relate to me?
Somewhere in a niche
A resonance, may be?
An echo?
An indefinable
Glimmer of a symbiotic soul,
Spontaneously responding,
Nurturing,
And acknowledging
In misty
Recollection?

I feel so near
Yet, so far,
When we walk
Mind in mind
As we had walked
Eons ago
Together.
