DOG

I saw a dog out running today

On the beach, mouth open tongue lolling

Sand spraying as paws madly dug

Grooves in softness, Dog was happy

Stick in mouth, her horizons were met

Fur wet with surf, damp from splashing

Seagulls satisfyingly put to flight

Defeated once again, she grinned

Laid stick at Gods silly two feet

"come then, you enjoy it so much, throw !"

She commanded and as ever God obey's

She ran, ears in air her tail ragged and high

Skidded around the stick braked in the sand

Laid on belly, cooling and damp

Defying God to take it, stick valued and loved

Till the next one and the next run on the beach
