Come to Me
I’ll call you
will o’ the wisp’
Though like a
willow you weep
All those tears
drops you shed in vain
Like pearls
I’ll preserve and keep.
I know there’s
mirth within your heart
Though in a
lonely corner you cry
I choose to see
the laughter inside
Even though to
share them you’re shy.
I’ll make
bouquets of words I find
And lay them at
your feet
Hoping you’ll
accept them anon
And smile at my
stupid feat.
I know pain can
be deep
And solace a
distant star
I’ll hope my
words will comfort you
Though I may be
so far.
It was pain that
carved me out
Then hollowed me
out with tears
So now I can
store even your pain
And protect you
from your fears.
Take all the hurt
that life offers you
And give it a
smile in return
Life will open
his arms to you
It’s not
life’s nature to spurn.
The past is gone,
today is here
Tomorrow no one
knows
So plant a seed
of happiness
And watch it at
is grows.
But if you choose
to wail to me
Or even for
memories past
I’ll listen to
them like symphonies
And hold you as
long as it will last.
It’s not only
your smile I seek
But also the pain
within your soul
Be my friend and
come to me
Just as you are
– I want the whole.
