Tonight,
The moon shining it's gentle light,
The stars offering warmth that I could never feel,
The crickets whispering,
Breaking the silence of the night.

Tonight,
Here am I...alone,
Observing from below,
Captivated by the view,
I never thought was beauty.

Tonight,
Gentle breeze brushes upon me,
Soothes my body and soul,
As I loomed around,
The four walls of darkness.

Tonight,
The first time in my entire life,
I wondered the meaning of life,
Realizing that I am very much alive,
Making me grateful of tonight.
