O Love, how do I pay you a tribute?

Oft spoken about by all and sundry,

Yet I find have no words to contribute.

A lifetime of trying to solve this quandary,

As you change with mercurial strides,

Into varied hues so diverse that are legendary.

Mankind on this intangible emotion rides,

From  birth to the end of its time,

Being a force that all relentlessly guides,

But as I stand here, this passion sublime

Grip me; but as I falter at its evanescence,

A narrative evades, while words rhyme

So to try make sense of its magical essence

 Is foolhardy; just live in its luminescence!
