What
I Have Seen

I have seen everything I will ever want to see
From the individual; the multitudes; and even me.
I have seen most of what has been and also will be
From the mountains to the waters of each shining sea.

I
have seen men fly without wings
Almost as prophetic as the bird that sings.
I have seen the brutal nightmarish times of war
Followed by peaceful moments to reflect on the destruction we saw.

I
have seen the beauty of the dandelion in all its glory
The mystery of the Lilly that came from another story.
I have seen the mighty acorn captured by a bird no larger than my
finger
Working so hard and yet it still has time to linger.

I
have had my share of productive work and moments to sleep
MY life with more times of happiness than those to weep.
I have seen beautiful people of all colors and hue
Singing praises to their God with chants of allele, allele.

I
have seen the results of meaningful good deeds
Followed by the harvest of the planted seeds.
I have lived in the vision of rain, wind and sun
Understanding within the miracle of three there is also one.

I
have felt the sun that nourishes and gives so much
To feel the warm, tender and loving human touch.
I have felt and tasted the warm spring rain
That cools and nourishes the green earth time and time again.

I
have felt the caressing breeze that comes from the sky
Always understanding and seldom having to ask why.
I have felt the love that only a woman can bestow and no other
A capacity as a special gift from her God to be shared as a Mother.

I
have felt and seen children from every race, religion and nation
So protective we should be of the gift from our God called a human
creation.
All of these things I have been privileged to see and even more
My time on earth was truly a gift and not a chore.
