TRUE LIES

Why don’t you just walk away,
And then look back to see if I care,
I promise you I won’t cry,
In my eyes there won’t be a tear.

I won’t die if you leave,
As I don’t love you like I say,
I’ll still go on living as I am,
And I just don’t want you to stay.

I won’t always remember you,
And I won’t keep you in my heart,
There’s no room for you in it,
For you’re the one who took it apart.

I don't really believe my own words,
I realize this with a sigh,
you may or may not understand,
but this poem is a lie.
