When wading into those depths I often deny any strong currents That may ruthlessly pull me under
I prefer instead, to see all around The sunlight that your love brings Making my lonely world so bright
I cannot deny that a cold numbness Often-unbidden seeps into my soul And in its icy rejection I shiver
And yet, swiftly flies in a seagull From an ever emerging horizon Dissolving my pain into the crimson skies
And then, all I see are your gentle eyes And feel the softness of your smile To be instantly healed of all hurt otherwise…
