Lake Memories.

Warm moonlight
Poured over the lake
We leaped from the old car
Ran headlong into the night

Fireflies were spreading everywhere
Arriving on the cool breeze
My dad uncharacteristic
Held our hands and walked

Talking of the future,
Telling us stories
Dreams and memories.
As the mist settled over the lake.
