Hope of a Sandcastle
The heart sank
and
Mind went
Completely blank.

When I was told
That you aren’t
Coming yet
And
I am to hold.

You know
How it feels
When a fortress of hope
Tenderly built on eons of wait
Implodes and the
Thunder has to be contained
Collapse not be made known
A tiny speck of dust not
Allowed to be flown
When you have to leave yet all of you left
In someone and gone
To rebuild the recently ravaged
Tattered and mauled hope

With one call of yours
I began building a
Tiny sandcastle
For ....
Time was less and hope even lesser
And above all a poor man like me
Could bear only that much more loss

Do you understand?
Thank God you do
There is now no mystery
For all that else
Now is history.
