Gossamer Web

Stretched across oceans

Gossamer threads

Of silken care

Weaving a magical web

Glisten silver bright

In the sun & moon light…

Sparkling filigree’

Loosely woven

Swinging free and fair

Dancing with feet bare

Letting tenderness flow

While softly a-glow…

Tempted to touch

With passions bold

Longing for more

Fervour and ardour galore

But…afraid will shatter

And into infinity scatter

Or jumbled, a-bunched

It may become

All a-tangle and a mess

Till left holding nothing

Neither tender care

Nor togetherness to share

So bank my blaze

Add not fuel of craze

With a clear gaze

See the beauty that remains

Fragile yet distinct

Better that, than…extinct
