The Lady and the
Bedouin

The lady, castle closed, went far
away,
The dragon and the king not quite forgot,
But looking for what someone else might say,
While staying thankful for the things they'd taught.
She met a Bedouin while wandering far,
His tent a city house fashioned of stone.
His camel was a Mitsubishi car,
His tribe of sons and daughters not quite grown.
Young statisticians were the flocks he led.
A local masjid was the place he prayed.
The hunger in her heart, so long unfed,
Was sated by his words and deeds. She stayed
A little. He then took her for his bride,
And in each other they were satisfied.
