RAINBOW SONG

Swishing my hand

Gently through the undulating

Stream of life,

I scooped a palm full

As it glistened and gleamed

In the sunlight,

Catching the rainbows

In my eyes

And reflecting the colours bold

All four of them, not the seven

And lending its cooling balm

To a heart that was reeling

To time;

It slowly trickled away, life…

Could not be held in my palm for long,

Yet leaving it moist, refreshed,

So that I could hold it up

To cup my burning visage

And feel the music of its song
