Aquamarine Argent Filigree

(The Falls at Niagara)

As if a palette of lucent aquamarine,

Spilled, mingled and swiftly coursed,

With the bejeweled cascading source;

A steady murmur resounds night & day

While a spray of fine misty dewy haze,

Blows wither the wind lovingly takes its way;

Oceans of spellbound spectators drift

All around the periphery, wholly agog

At its multidimensional surging song;

We float on argent filigreed waves,

Sparkling with silvers of the sun’s rays

Soaked by the deluge, of an ecstatic daze;

Giddy headed under those rainbow arches,

Faces tilted to sip hungrily of that joy

Dithering on emotions never before toyed;

Hearts constricting, breath so short,

Enchanted, moving sinuously along,

Content, in that ephemeral moment alone.
