V A R N A    T R O L L E Y B U S

 

A deep-toned whirr of motors in the street

From single-decker trolleybuses,  some

In blue,  others red,  some articulate

With concertina joinings as they come

And go,  twin trolleys swaying,  making wild

Gyrations in the taut-slung wires,  a hiss

And spark attending both grooved brass wheels held

By tension of the bending trolley poles.
