On verge of losing a friend...

From phone calls to long walks at the shore
From watching cinema to some shopping in a store
From growing up together to talking to each other about our latest crush
From sharing joy to shedding tears on each other's shoulders
We were there for each other ...
As we treaded life's path together.

As we grew up to be women
We promised to be there for each other...
Even if life turned out to be uneven...
Be there for what we considered as
"The weak phase of life!"
But then we never knew that destiny would do us apart
And we would be seperated from each other -
By body, soul and heart!

It seems like a dream now,
The moments we spent as friends
As I sit alone, I realize -
That as friends we did promise to be there for each other
But as individuals we have now chosen different paths of life
I realize that I am all alone,
When I should actually be in your company!
I have realized I am-
On verge of losing a friend!
