LOVE'S RIVER

Many miles separate us
Many barriers are in between
You say you are different
And that's how it seems

So I stay behind this barrier
And I sing you my song
But the night is lonely
And darkness stays too long

Love's river is flowing
And time's passing by
While you sit in your world
And I sit alone in mine

I won't wait forever
My patience won't last
I will tell you my feelings
And show you my scars

But if you won't listen
And things stand in the way
Then pay attention love
To what I have to say

Love's river is deep
Its waters run far
Its rhythm is reflected
In all of my songs

And some night those waters
Will wash on some strange shore
To touch another stranger
Who will be stranger no more
