Homebound
Home bound
Plenty are found.
In various stages of death.
Some breathing last
Some out of breath.
Some mashed
Some fully intact
Some still supple, soft
Some with all four limbs aloft.
Giving this life a parting kiss.
Shocked, stiff with rigor mortis.
One just departed
Ribbed apart
By the left front wheel
Of a flashy car.
Homeless
Four legged
Un-rabid dogs
Run over
By
Two legged
Rabid men
With wheels of
Chrome
Wonder………………
Who
Actually
Went
Home?
