WILL TOMORROW COME

The story of a caged bird
but only if I could
express what I felt
this is etched deep
oh so deep in my heart

story of a girl
I so feel for her
crying some silent tears
thinking how she suffered
the pains she endured
this cruel life of her's

A listless sorry childhood
carrying the curse of hunger
on her delicate shoulders
poverty always haunting
this little sweet girl child
but some how she survived
until that fateful night

crestfallen and depressed
this sweet girl came back home
the hunger and thirst along with
she tried to sleep some
and the unthinkable happened

a broken lentren
a shattered soul
a scarred entity
something happened
she had to run away from home
dazed and confused

she somehow found a shelter
with a old men who made her
feel like she was his loving daughter
but then again cruel fate
won't let her live in peace

the old man expired
haunting memories flooding again
roaming in the wilderness
wishing for some love

now this becoming beauty
has just bloomed into adolescence
living like some nomad
falls in the hands
of a cruel fate

sold for money
ending up in
a house of ill fame
selling her body
what a pity

but deep in her heart
still wanting to be loved
tired eyes searching
for prince charming
who will come to take her
away from this all

buyers will still seek
her sweet little body
but, will someone seek her
the scarred soul lying dormant

this body could be bought
for measly sum of money

along comes devil
disguised as prince
promising a shelter
good decent living
but the catch is

dancing to his whims
to be used as a commodity
cooped up like a caged bird
living in a solitude

but spirit of this girl
is not yet broken

rest of the story
has been retold
time and again
this sweet girl child
a fallen angel
seeking
hoping
" Will tomorrow come?"
