PEACE

In the midst
Of my chaotic life
You appear,
An island of peace.
For a time
The cares of the day
Drop from me.
I rest with you.

Even when you are away
I feel joy
For no particular reason
Except that God is good
And you exist.
In my heart echoes
Your softly spoken
