Let me not see
the cloud
In all its darkness.
Let me,in its place
See the silver lining,
The sun playing hide and seek.
The rainbow taking a dainty peek.

Let me not feel the gusts
Of unrelenting wind
Almost sucking out
The rind...
From inside.
Let me,in its place
See all the dirt of yesterday
Swept away by the storm
Bringing in each new day
In a new form
Shorn of all dust and grime
Heralding a new clime.

Let me, then,
Count the blessings
And feel the pulsations
Of something new
'Cause the blessings are not few,
And as we go on counting
We find ourselves mounting
Each hurdle
To a land of hope unbridled.
