CONVICTIONS
( inspired by
the poem 'An Unfaithful Wife')
Who says guys are nice
before commenting I'll think twice
For looking unto the world
on innocence
many a incidents will have a recurrence
in the deepest corners of my heart
which I proclaim , was torn apart
By the ruthlessness of
someone I loved
and the wails went by unheard
by the passersby n friends
here a life time ends
And begins another
story stretches farther
Am I a man reborn
neither hurt nor torn
full of life and of zeal
puts me with others, on an even keel
But deep within
I know
with me these feelings go
that I never was true to me
and the easiest part was to flee
from the realms of reality
I have always lived in a
world of dreams
of magical forest and medieval themes
where I always was a prince charming
around me was beauty swarming
I was the Icon of ultimate
male
every dame I would swoon , without fail
living on for the day
and no one will dare say
About my ill deeds
never will I listen to heeds
of friends and family
today I m with Emma tomorrow with Emily
And back to present
I m decent
on top of my little meaningless world
gloating over my charities
and looking forward to new priorities
But what I
don't realise
and I am none the wise
about the day of reckoning
which soon will be beckoning
To me to face the lord
do I actually afford
to confront my past sins
the outer may gleam and shine
but only my soul won't quit to whine
I found myself in
mornings facing the mirror seeing the real me
and out of shame.. I want to flee
my reality, calling it a mutiny
but one day I will have to face destiny
Suppressed with own guilts n convictions
my thought are with themselves , at contradiction
but one thing I know
never be afraid to show
what is one's real side
and u might finally .. turn the tide
and be the person god meant one to be
and continue the voyage in the vast life's sea
