WHY CAN'T I ? 

If a rainbow can be
All bright and cheerful
And can touch the sky
Why can’t I?

If my friend can lose
Her treasured love
And not even cry
Why can’t I?

If the grass can grow
In my garden as well 
On a mountain high
Why can’t I?

If my aunt can write
A best selling book 
On her very first try
Why can’t I?

If the world can change
Its ideas and itself
In the blink of an eye
Why can’t I?

If my mom can smile
And listen to my tales
Without a sigh
Why can’t I?

If the seas can go on
Until eternity
And the birds can fly
Why can't I?
